Welcome back, readers, to Agama’s Message with Vishal Rajput. Today marks the beginning of our Discourse series, where I will present a process and offer insights. Our topic for today’s discussion is the affirmation: "You are enough."
YOU ARE ENOUGH
The fundamental lesson we should grasp before embarking on our spiritual journey is the awareness that we are enough. You don’t need a god, a partner, a teacher, a friend, a guide, or anyone else. Just recognize that you are enough.
The reason I assert that you don't need a god or a guide is due to the realization that we have an internal GPS designed for our destination.
As you first realize that you are alone, everything may seem daunting. However, with deeper introspection, you begin to understand that you are not just the body you identify with, nor are you solely your mind. Consequently, neither the body nor the mind can be completely relied upon. This initiates a process of calming and quieting the mind, enabling us to attune ourselves to the voice of the cosmos.
We are not the mind, nor the body.
The process of quieting the mind is called Meditation
You may wonder, "Vishal, how can one discern between genuine experiences and mere hallucinations?" I have two answers for this inquiry. Firstly, heightened awareness leads to a stronger intuition, affirming the reality of the experience. Secondly, you can validate it by comparing it with real-life situations.
For instance, when you experience a realization and doubt its authenticity, consider putting it to a practical test. Take relationships, for example. In relationships, we often have expectations, which can lead to disappointment as each person is unique with their own needs and identity. This can result in minor disputes and deepen karmic connections, making things more complicated than they need to be.
When I say "you are enough," the "you" encompasses the entire universe. As my realization deepened, I understood that I am no different from Mother Nature; everyone and everything in this world is an extension of myself, and I am an extension of them. While this may sound philosophical, experiencing it feels profoundly transformative.
All is one and one is all; you are God and God is you." This statement holds different meanings when you listen to it, understand it, and actually experience it—each level revealing a distinct perspective.
FAITH
Faith is the most important aspect of a human's life, at least in my belief. It acts as a life jacket, capable of keeping you afloat but unable to steer you in the direction you desire. Why do we need God? We need God as a life jacket until we learn to swim and eventually become one with the water itself.
What does it mean to have faith? Allow me to share a lovely story I read in my childhood school book. It was used to illustrate the concept of faith.
Once, a village faced a severe drought, causing great worry as the villagers watched their cattle perish due to the scarcity of water. Seeking a religious solution, the villagers approached the local pandit for guidance. He suggested praying, and so all the villagers, including the pandit, gathered to pray for rain.
Among the villagers, there was a child who brought an umbrella. This child alone had unwavering faith that it would rain, hence bringing the umbrella as a symbol of that belief.
I ponder, what if the villagers desired to feel the rain after enduring a prolonged drought? Why did no one consider or question this aspect?
The answer I arrive at is that children are taught to believe without questioning. Our society has become accustomed to not thinking deeply; we haven't truly experienced faith but rather mere belief.
Faith holds significance when we lack knowledge or trust in nature. However, once we understand and trust nature, faith becomes unnecessary. Why insist on maintaining faith when you can know and experience? Nonetheless, it's crucial to have faith before realizing your self-sufficiency.
Closing Remarks
Simply recognizing that "you are enough" is sufficient to begin your spiritual journey. Through this discourse series, I will share my experiences and realizations with you. I trust that I've explained the concepts of Self-Sufficiency and Faith clearly. I also encourage everyone to meditate, and I will send a special email with a step-by-step meditation guide, although I've previously discussed Vipassana and the connection between the moon, mind, and meditation in a newsletter. Please write back to me at agamashakti@gmail.com, sharing your meditation experiences and insights, and feel free to share this newsletter with others.
