The Nirvana Shatakam must be read and understood. Knowing and realization are two different things, and you can realize Aham Brahmasmi through practicing meditation and following Sthitaprajna. One must read the Nirvana Shatakam on the auspicious day of Maha Shivaratri or every Saturday before going to bed.
